Service Information
First Baptist Church has invested in the community of Toms River for well over 100 years. We are committed to Christ and love that He is consistent and unchanging. We are also committed to communicating the simple, timeless truth of God’s word in a way that is relevant to our shore culture.
On Sunday mornings we offer two services. While they are similar (you will hear the same sermon in either), they each have their own flavor.
9:30 Service
At the 930, you will experience a relaxed, friendly environment, upbeat music and people who are passionate about seeking God and growing closer to Him in a real way. When the service finishes at 10:30, we encourage you to stay around for a bit to enjoy some coffee, connect with others in the service, and learn about where you can get plugged in!
11:00 Service
At the 11, you will be welcomed into a style of service that you may remember from when you grew up! Here we sing a mix of hymns and praise music, led instrumentally by our pianist and organist. Our choir sings regularly here as well.
We also have a traditional Sunday Evening Service at 6:30pm, and a mid-week prayer gathering on Wednesdays at 7:00pm each meeting in our Thompson Room.
